1st Bath

It really went pretty well. We got home from the Hospital on a Thursday. Saturday we had the Maternal Grandparents, Emily's Sisters, their husbands and kids. Needless to say it was a packed house for the big event.

Isabel still had her crusty umbilical cord remnants so we could only dribble water on her. We've found since then that she likes actually having some water in the tub. I'm sure it's because of the warmth. Anyway, her first bath went really well. She fussed a little but only a few screeches of joy!! Afterward she was passed around from one doting relative to the next. This kept her occupied and the day went really well. The following day my parents or Isabel's paternal Grandparents came up for a visit. My mom was really excited for her first grandchild (2nds have yet to be decided) and my dad said he had forgotten how small they start out.
